British World War 2 Aerial Drop ContainerThis
container was found in the thick jungle near Kedah /
Thailand border. It was believed been dropped by RAF
B-24 Liberator supplying Force 136 behind enemy lines in
Malaya during ww2.
Supplies
like food, medicines,
ammunitions, weapons and even an Airborne Welbike were
stuffed inside this metal containers.
Majority of these containers were dropped at night and
when found, it would be opened and left behind. This
container was left behind where it was dropped and we
could see both container covers nearby.
The
containers were carried by RAF Liberators operating from
India and Cocos Island and dropped behind enemy lines in
Burma, Thailand and Malaya. Majority of these containers
were found inside RAF B-24 Liberator KH326 when it was
found in 1955.
